Fox & Friends claims GOP passed tax bill “against long odds and, ultimately, the swamp”
Thousands of lobbyists helped draft the bill
From the December 20 edition of Fox News' Fox & Friends:
STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST): Do you know who is really excited about this? The president of the United States, because he just got a win.
DOOCY: The Republicans delivered against long odds and, ultimately, the swamp. I mean, the swamp, and Pete, you've lived down there.
PETE HEGSETH (CO-HOST): Yeah.
DOOCY: You know what it's like. There are lobbyists and there are large forces that try to get the Congress to do certain things because they've got a financial and political interest in them.
HEGSETH: You are exactly right.
