Ignoring reality, Fox's Chris Stirewalt claims Trump “obviously” “understands the need to pivot”

From the May 19 edition of Fox News' America's Newsroom:

Video file

BILL HEMMER (CO-HOST): You watched it. How is [Trump] handling it?

CHRIS STIREWALT: Well, he should stop complaining but he understands -- obviously, the president understands the need to pivot. It has been impressed upon him, obviously, at this point that there are good things in this for him in the appointment of a special counsel, especially somebody as well respected as Robert Mueller. That now the issue people can feel confident is in good hands, it's being capably directed, it's under an independent source. So now you -- the advantage of this -- yes there are disadvantages for the administration, but the huge advantage in this is that you were able to stop talking about it. And if the president can listen to the voices around him that are saying that, he will be in a much better position.
