ELIZABETH MACDONALD (HOST): The media also harping on a decades old complaint that has the Democrats sounding like one note cranks in the media as well. They are saying the administration's new tax plan is, again, helping the rich. Total radio silence from the media and Democrats on how the Trump cuts helps small businesses, the guys who create jobs in this country. And how even under this plan the rich could likely pay more.

MACDONALD: Alright, here's a journalistic malpractice. What is AWOL in the media coverage? These are government statistics that we're about to give you. The top fifth of earners alone pay nearly all 84 percent of federal income tax revenues. Only in media and Democrat bubble land could the top fifth of earners pay nearly all federal tax revenues and be accused of not paying their fair share, including by people who don't pay taxes at all. This as the CBO has already said that nearly two-thirds of U.S. households get more in government benefits than what they pay out in federal taxes. The media also not telling you that. What is the media obsessing about? The page count of the Trump tax plan has them apoplectic.
