Angelo Carusone is president of Media Matters, a nonprofit watchdog group that polices right-wing media. He says the agenda for the misinformation permeating conservative news is driven by politics and profits.

CARUSONE: In this case, it's slow down the recovery, make it harder for anything to sort of seemingly get back to normal, reinforce the narrative about control, reinforce the narrative that everything is some kind of liberal conspiracy, and that the only people that can save you is Fox News.
