Big Echo: Breitbart pushes Limbaugh's weeks-old talking point on Twitter

In recent weeks, Rush Limbaugh has sought to replant his flag in the right-wing media sandbox, in large part by stumbling onto the refrain “Obama regime,” scratching his own record, and playing it day after day after day. Cue Limbaugh's echolalia chorus. Now -- just several weeks later -- enter Andrew Breitbart, who today began pushing a Twitter hashtag: "#regime."

For the uninitiated, hashtags allow the Twitter community to identify their tweets with certain trending topics. Breitbart's latest hope appears to be to get enough people to type #regime in Twitter to start a trend. Dream Big, Andrew.

Breitbart has tried to stake quite a claim on the conservative media landscape in the past year -- dishonestly promoting heavily edited tapes of disgraced videographer James O'Keefe not dressed as a pimp and affixing the word BIG to every noun in the English language to create an endless supply of websites. Now it appears he's settling into his role as just another messenger boy for Rush Limbaugh.
