Andrew Breitbart has a dream

This is not a joke.

Andrew Breitbart -- proprietor of the BigWebsites and an even BiggerEgo -- wants his own television network. He tells Politico's James Hohmann:

The provocateur said the TV network he creates would explore, for instance, whether CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric is a racist because of where she vacations. Before they turned to “real news” programming, he said there would be “one week of revenge” on his enemies in the press.

“What would you do, Katie, if you woke up and you saw on your competitor's channel: 'Let's talk about whether or not Katie Couric is racist'? I think she'd be pissed off,” he said. “We are a citizen journalism army, and we are going to take this country back.”

In an interview with POLITICO after his speech, Breitbart walked back his comments by saying he has no immediate plans or timetable to move forward with the project.

“I winged that one,” he said. “It's a goal. Every boy can have a dream. I can't middle relieve for the Dodgers anymore, so I want to have my own news network.”

“I'll have a network, I'm sure I will,” he added, confidently. “I'll figure that out. I'm not that worried about it.”

Something tells me the 24/7 news cycle wouldn't be conducive to half-bit conservative propaganda disguised as journalism. Then again, there is Fox News.

I wonder if viewers would settle for a carbon copy of the right-wing network composed entirely of jumpy camcorder footage?
