As Media Matters previously noted, Mike Huckabee defended his remarks that Obama grew up in Kenya by falsely claiming on The O'Reilly Factor that “if I'd read from my own text, page 183 of my book, I clearly said he grew up in Indonesia.” Huckabee also made a similar remark on The Mike Gallagher Show.

Huckabee's claim is a lie. He did not mention Indonesia on page 183, and based on a search of the Kindle version of his book, Huckabee makes no mention of Indonesia (or Indonesian, Jakarta, and Menteng).

Huckabee's page 183 explanation was criticized yesterday by CNN anchor John King, who noted that they also looked at the page and “Indonesia” was nowhere to be found.
