Can't Wait For O'Reilly And Beck To Denounce Trump's Birtherism

I'm sure it will be just a matter of time now before Bill O'Reilly and Glenn Beck take to the Fox News airwaves to ridicule Donald Trump, who's been out making easy headlines peddling the debunked birther conspiracy theory.

I'm sure O'Reilly and Beck will take aim at Trump, even though the rest of Fox News is cheering the misguided billionaire on, because, as Media Matters has noted, both Fox hosts are on the record condemning the birth certificate talk.

During the summer of 2009 when Lou Dobbs was doing what Trump is doing now (albeit while anchoring a CNN news show), O'Reilly dismissed the birther talk [emphasis added]:

“That theory has been around for a while. The Factor investigated, found out it's bogus. But Mr. Dobbs is still engaged.

...

Again, we found out that President Obama was born in Hawaii. We were sent the documents. And what are you gonna do? I don't know why it's still around.

Beck has been even more pronounced in his condemnations:

Everybody says, ”why is Barack Obama not just producing the birth certificate?" Ok, first of all, he did. And you're never going to get, you're never going to get a conspiracy theory to stop. You're never.

And:

Do you really think that that's the most pressing issue today, that that's the one, that's the one that's gonna bring this guy down. Really? That one -- The birther issue. It's the biggest waste of time I have ever, ever seen.

And:

And these people, no matter who they are, it could be a Republican, it could be George Bush. It doesn't matter. Lindsey Graham, I don't care who it is. These people must not excuse birthers.

So yeah, there's no way O'Reilly and Beck will turn a blind eye to the latest birther insurgence. Right?

Note to birthers: When Glenn Beck tells you your conspiracy has holes in it, it really is time to pack things up and go home.
