WAYNE ALLYN ROOT (GUEST): And I said to myself, they're going to try and steal it. They're going to try and rig it, and they're going to cheat like crazy. We've got to stop them. This is the way to stop them. Why not go back to the same well, declare a national security emergency this time for elections instead of the border? It'll be a declaration by the president. I repeat, it's not an EO. It's not an executive order. It's a completely different animal.

They cannot take it to court. It cannot be challenged legally. That was a 1983 Supreme Court ruling, Chadha vs. INS. And it says you cannot challenge a national security emergency any other way. The only way to overturn it, two-thirds vote, both houses of Congress. So once again, just like 2019, it's a total repeat. Democrats claim they can. They can't. You can't legally challenge it, and you'll never get the two-thirds vote, and it will be in effect before the election.

And what will it contain? Voter photo ID, proof of citizenship, strict limits on mail-in ballots, and many other things that were not in the SAVE America Act. I mean, hypothetically, it could include an end to ballot harvesting, ballot drop boxes, and it could be an end to machine voting, and you could demand paper ballots. It can have anything the president's little heart desires, and I've been pitching this since March. And then I pitched it to the president in my 17th interview with him about two and a half, three weeks ago on my TV show. And President Trump said, “Stranger things have happened.” That was his answer, a very cryptic, mysterious answer, and the left went insane.

And I think he's going to do it because, Roger, since then, he's retweeted out or whatever words you want to use, re-truthed, at his Truth Social page, he's posted my idea and my columns about national security emergency for elections three times in the last two weeks. Why is he doing that if he doesn't plan to actually sign that declaration? So I think it's going to happen. It's either that or he's trolling the left. I think it's going to happen. I'm very, very excited and and confident and hopeful that it's going to happen.
