MSNBC's Zerlina Maxwell: Women are going to die from Trump's restrictions on use of family planning funds

From the May 18 edition of MSNBC Live with Stephanie Ruhle:

ZERLINA MAXWELL (MSNBC POLITICAL ANALYST): I think that what Cecile [Richards, president of Planned Parenthood] was essentially trying to say is that when you remove this federal funding and women do not have access to contraception or legal and safe abortion, unsafe abortions happen. Women die. That's what's going to happen. There's going to be an increase in the teen pregnancy rate. There's going to be an increase in the pregnancy rate for all women, and now we don't have access to safe and legal abortion services. Again, abortion is an ideological debate but it's essentially a medical procedure that women should have access to based on what the Supreme Court has said.
