RON BROWNSTEIN: If you look at who benefited under the Affordable Care Act -- over 20 million people gained coverage -- guess what, they were not all Democrats.

MAGGIE HABERMAN: That's right, exactly.

BROWNSTEIN: If you look at many of these interior Republican states that were critical to Donald Trump's victory and where there are Republican senators, places like Iowa and Ohio and Wisconsin and Arkansas and West Virginia and Indiana, a majority of the people who gained coverage under the law were non-college whites, who are the core of the modern Republican coalition.
