ROBERTS: So here's what President Trump put out on Truth Social about this within the last hour. He said, quote: “I have just been informed by our Great Military that last night the Iranians shot down one of our highly sophisticated Apache Helicopters while patrolling over the Strait of Hormuz. There were two pilots involved, both are safe and uninjured. Nevertheless, the United States must, of necessity, respond to this attack.”

MARC THIESSEN (GUEST): Look, the president has been incredibly patient with the Iranians and this is how they reward his patience. This has to be a decisive attack; it's not proportionate. I agree — it can't be a pinprick strike, and the goal should not be to bring them back to the table. The president said that if the Iranians killed a single American, that would be resuming combat. And they listened to that and they just tried to kill some Americans. The message couldn't be clearer. This regime is not interested in cutting a deal. There is no Iranian Delcy Rodriguez with whom to cut a deal. The president has tried this, it's not working, and I think he needs to go and finish the job.
