Fox guest Chadwick Moore falsely suggests issues facing trans women of color are manufactured problems

In reality, trans and gender nonconforming people face an epidemic of violence in the US

Fox guest Chadwick Moore suggested that there is no crisis or hate affecting trans women of color in the United States despite disproportionate violence against the community.

During the November 22 edition of Tucker Carlson Tonight, Moore claimed that after same-sex marriage was legalized in the country, LGBTQ rights organizations “had to create a new problem, ... and that's been the trans issue, especially trans women of color.” Moore added that in order to get “donor bucks,” LGBTQ advocates “need to get this narrative out there that there is some sort of crisis, that we live in some sort of hate-filled country.”

In reality, according to the National Center for Transgender Equality’s 2015 U.S. Transgender Survey, “1 in 10 transgender people was physically attacked in the past year, and half of all transgender people are survivors of sexual violence.” Additionally, hate crimes against trans and gender nonconforming people increased by 41% from 2017 to 2018, and at least 22 trans and gender nonconforming people have been killed in the U.S. this year -- 20 of whom were Black trans women. The American Medical Association has called these attacks on the trans community an “epidemic of violence.”

Moreover, the alarming rates of violence facing the trans community are not new. For years, trans people have been subjected to violence while at the forefront of the decades-long fight for LGBTQ rights.

Carlson and his guests routinely use his prime-time platform to demean, attack, and dehumanize trans people.

TUCKER CARLSON (HOST): Why are groups like the ACLU and every HR department in all of corporate America, in fact all of our leaders, are forcing us to lie about this? They’re at gunpoint telling us you must believe something that everyone knows is a lie. Why are they doing that?

CHADWICK MOORE (CONSERVATIVE JOURNALIST): I think it's pressure from the LGBT lobbying organizations, which after gay marriage basically found themselves in a situation where they were about to go under. Where are they going to get money from? Who is going to care about these groups anymore? The civil rights -- if you want to call it that -- battle is over. So they suddenly had to create a new problem, a new issue, a new group to rally behind, and that's been the trans issue, especially trans women of color. If they need that -- they need those donor bucks coming in, they need to start harassing media, harassing HR departments .They need to get this narrative out there that there is some sort of crisis, that we live in some sort of hate-filled country.

And it’s gone to a place of not just caring about the individuals it purports to, these organizations. They don't care about individual trans people. They are doing more harm to individual trans people than anyone else. They only care about increasingly this sort of bizarre social Marxism thing, how many delusions they can get away with forcing on the American people. And ultimately, at the end of the day, it hurts the individuals that these groups once were supposed to look after.
