TIM POOL (HOST): What if the Republicans don't care if they lose? I'm not going to say there's any kind of 4D chess going on, but let's play some games, right? Right now, the polling is bad for Republicans. The prediction market's bad for Republicans. It's looking like Democrats are going to win, and it's the economy, stupid. This war is bad. Gas is expensive. Sorry. You can say that $3.70 -- it's like, gas by me is, like, $3.70 to $3.90. It's like, well, it's coming down. Guys, $4 gallon, $4 gas, okay? But diesel is insane. It means prices everywhere are going up.
I was talking about this the other day. I bought some salami and bacon and eggs, and we did, like, a little outdoor — I don't want to call it a picnic, but we got, like, you know, a park bench, and we fired — a little propane grill, and we made breakfast outside at the park. It was fantastic. It's $150 bucks. I was like, I only got, like, three bags. I got, like, chips, dip, meat, bacon, eggs. Like, it was not that much. But, you know, largely, I think it's the salami. Like, these prices on these things. Guys, I remember back in, like, 2020, I was telling you, we had these salami packs, and they're not that big, and they were, like, $9. Now they're, like, $16, $17.
It's crazy. And people feel it, and they're pissed. And the Republicans are offering nothing. Show me a Republican coming out and being like, here's why you should vote for me.
