Eric Boehlert, author of the book Lapdogs: How the Press Rolled Over for Bush, posted a response to former Wash. Post ombudsman Michael Getler, who, in a review of the book, criticized Boehlert for failing to get the views of some of the editors and reporters he went after. Boehlert to Getler: “I don't buy it. Journalists should be judged on the work they produce, not what's inside their heads while they're producing it.”
