SANDRA SMITH (CO-ANCHOR): And now we're getting word that the president is asking former aides what they said and disclosed to the special counsel. 

ANDREW NAPOLITANO (FOX NEWS JUDICIAL ANALYST): I am dismayed at a lot of my colleagues who have criticized the president for that. He can ask the people that work for him anything he wants. This is --

SMITH: Or formerly worked for him?

NAPOLITANO: Correct. This is not Richard Nixon or Bill Clinton famously coaching people that worked for them before they testified before a grand jury. That would be very problematic. But to say to Reince Priebus, "How did they treat you? Were they professional? What areas did they ask you about?" Absolutely normal questions, not unlawful at all.
