ROB FINNERTY (HOST): In San Diego, this is so bizarre. So, several Muslims students are now requesting special foods in public schools because of their religion, even though they already get either free or reduced priced lunches.

FINNERTY: OK, two things. One, she's very well spoken, but this is part of assimilation. Not only are you getting free lunch that the taxpayers are paying for, but I'm sorry if we don't provide falafel or whatever it is you want that's culturally appropriate. This is part of assimilation into this country. You're also getting free lunch. It's like my mom used to say when we were little. I was one of four and when dinner came, if one of us didn't like dinner and inevitably every night one of us didn't like whatever dinner was, she'd go you better eat because that's dinner. So you better eat, because that's lunch. And it's free. That's a good deal.
