JAMES ROSEN (GUEST): We have a problem with elections in this country —
ALEX SWOYER (GUEST): Yes.
ROSEN: Right? And the fondest hope of every voter on every election night, no matter which offices are at stake, is just that election night should actually end on election night —
SWOYER: Yeah.
ROSEN: Which seems ever since Bush v. Gore to be a more elusive prospect with each election.
TERRY SCHILLING (GUEST): You know, I just want to say, if this was going on in Russia, if this was going on in Venezuela or Cuba, we would be talking about invading that country and liberating them, at least sanctioning them. Right? This is so corrupt. But I think the bigger point is we now know what Gavin Newsom meant when he said that they had to break the glass in case of emergency —
SWOYER: That's true. I remember that comment.
SCHILLING: I just find the whole thing peculiar, and I find what's even more peculiar is that journalists, right? The media enterprise, they are supposed to speak truth to power. There's no curiosity here about what's happening. We have a several day delay in the election results, and there's no one out there saying, hey, LA government, what's going on with your elections? It's enraging, but we have to fix this.
