  • Conservative Columnist Thinks Obama "Orchestrated" Benghazi Attack

    Blog ››› ››› BEN DIMIERO

Conservative columnist Erik Rush thinks President Obama or his administration "orchestrated" the attacks on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi.

In a column for conspiracy website WND, Rush writes that he has "always leaned in the direction of the administration having orchestrated the attack for reasons of its own" because of the president's supposed connections "to the Muslim Brotherhood and legendary understanding of all things Islamic."

As Right Wing Watch points out, Rush cites the "unresolved Trinity United murders" as evidence that Obama could be capable of planning such an attack. This is the outlandish conservative conspiracy that President Obama or his associates murdered members of Obama's old Chicago church in order to conceal his supposed hidden homosexuality.

    From Rush's May 8 column:

I suppose that depends on two things: One, what is revealed in the hearings, and two, whom one asks. I have always leaned in the direction of the administration having orchestrated the attack for reasons of its own - given his connections to the Muslim Brotherhood and legendary understanding of all things Islamic, it is possible that President Obama could even have arranged for the assault on the compound without the foreknowledge of his Cabinet.

A bold charge, to be sure, but I am operating with such questions as the unresolved Trinity United murders before me. Then there are the possibilities that the tragedy came about as the result of less grave criminal action or a series of irresponsible and craven decisions.

The burning question at present (and which may remain so for some time) is why efforts were not made to rescue the beleaguered staff at the facility and whether or not a stand-down order was given to military personnel in the area. If the latter becomes the case, then obviously we want to know who issued the order. Depending on the outcome, measures might be as severe as charges filed against Cabinet officials or the impeachment of Obama himself. While this president reasonably deserves to be occupying a cell in some federal penitentiary anyway, impeachment presents many troublesome aspects.

  • Fox Nation Highlights Ted Nugent's Claim That "Abortion, Not Guns" Are "Eliminating The Inner-City Population"

    Blog ››› ››› THOMAS BISHOP

A May 5 Fox Nation post highlighted National Rifle Association board member Ted Nugent's WND column, in which he claimed that "abortion, not guns, is what's eliminating the inner-city population."

Nugent wrote that liberals were demonizing pro-gun messages in schools -- which he called "social engineering indoctrination camps" -- by suspending children "drawing a picture of a gun or wearing a pro-gun T-shirt." He added that liberals would laud a child if they wore a shirt with a pro-abortion message. He continued:

Nugent wrote that liberals were demonizing pro-gun messages in schools -- which he called "social engineering indoctrination camps" -- by suspending children "drawing a picture of a gun or wearing a pro-gun T-shirt." He added that liberals would laud a child if they wore a shirt with a  pro-abortion message. He continued:

Of course, if a kid showed up wearing a shirt with a picture of the president's mug on it and the words "Like President Obama, I support abortion," that would be just fine as that message fits the "fundamental transformation" agenda even though abortion, not guns, is what's eliminating the inner-city population. The facts, however interesting, are irrelevant when they get in the way of a leftist agenda.

Alinksy-inspired radicals are not interested in facts, only to advance their anti-freedom, anti-American agenda of destroying the Second Amendment.

Part of achieving the ultimate goal of disarming America is to vilify guns at every opportunity. Constantly drumming the message home that guns are evil to little Billy and Susie who attend social engineering indoctrination camps is part of the plan.

If Billy and Susie were taught the truth about guns, the leftist plan to destroy the Second Amendment unravels and swirls down the drain like body parts of the murdered babies of the Philadelphia Angel of Death.

  • NRA Board Member Ted Nugent Compares Obama To A Nazi On Conspiracy Theorist's Radio Show

    Blog ››› ››› TIMOTHY JOHNSON

National Rifle Association board member Ted Nugent made inflammatory comments about President Obama and said Cubans "haven't figured out personal hygiene" during an appearance on an online radio show hosted by 9/11 truther and conspiracy theorist Pete Santilli.

Santilli, who has promoted conspiracy theories relating to the December 14 massacre at Sandy Hook Elementary School that left 20 children and six educators dead, does little to hide the fact that he is a conspiracy theorist. The recorded introduction to his radio show says that it is broadcast from "FEMA region nine" and that the show's purpose is to counter "the New World Order, the global elite and their eugenics agenda."

In an article posted on his website, Santilli shared a conspiracy theory about the Sandy Hook shooting created by "911 truth Switzerland" that the massacre was a "satanic sacrifice" and posted images to his website that suggest the shooting was predicted by a map seen in the Batman film The Dark Knight Rises

Nugent himself has spread false information about Sandy Hook, claiming in his regular column at birther website WND that an assault weapon was not used in the massacre. Nugent's claim that the shooter used handguns originates from a video frequently promoted by conspiracy theorists who believe Sandy Hook may have been a government hoax.

In addition to pushing Sandy Hook conspiracies, Santilli links to a series of videos on his website that promote the fringe theory of Judy Wood that the Twin Towers were brought down by a "high-tech energy weapon" possibly fired from space. Santilli also promotes the work of William Cooper, an anti-government conspiracy theorist who was killed in 2001 after opening fire on law enforcement agents.

Here are five outrageous moments from Nugent's appearance on The Pete Santilli Show:

Nugent: Cubans "Haven't Figured Out Personal Hygiene Yet"

Discussing his lifestyle which involves abstaining from drugs and alcohol, Nugent recommended avoiding "fat chicks" and said that he would not "chew on a Cuban" because "they haven't learned personal hygiene yet":

SANTILLI: You were inducted into the National Bow Hunter's Hall of Fame, by the way.

NUGENT: Yeah, you know I didn't invent the middle finger but I did perfect it in my youth. So I know that if you believe animals have rights, I promise I will kill an extra hundred just for you. Yeah, you know, I was raised to be honest and accountable and I'm sure you are on the phone right now, Pete, with the only guy you will ever talk to that has planted thousands and thousands, tens of thousands of trees. It's annual spring ritual at the Nugent house.

You see, I never poisoned my body. My parents taught me that my gift of life is embodied in the sacred temple. So no drugs, no alcohol, no tobacco and no fat chicks. Stuff will kill you, Pete, I'm telling you, it's deadly. But I have been known to chew on a Cuban, that's a cigar. I wouldn't chew on a Cuban, they haven't figured out personal hygiene yet. But I do chew on a cigar once in a while when I shoot my machine gun around the camp fire.

Nugent Compares Obama To A Nazi

In discussing how the president "pretended to show respect and honor" when paying tribute to veterans at the Vietnam Memorial Wall, Nugent compared Obama to "a German in 1938 pretending to respect the Jews and then going home and putting on his brown shirt and forcing his neighbors onto a train to be burned to death":

SANTILLI: Do you think right now we are in the final throes of implementing communism?

NUGENT: Well, you know, let's put it in the most heartbreaking frame, shall we? And you may have never heard this before, Pete, but I want everyone to listen, even the people that might be listening that hate me and want me to shut up. Just take a deep breath and give me a second here.

The President of the United States Barack Hussein Obama went to the Vietnam Memorial Wall. He did his smoke and mirrors scam. He pretended to show respect and honor, 58,000 American warriors who died fighting communism. And then he hired, appointed and associates with communists.

If you can't see through the dishonesty and the scamming of this president with that scenario fresh in your mind, then that's literally like, I guess that would be like, I don't know, a German in 1938 pretending to respect the Jews and then going home and putting on his brown shirt and forcing his neighbors onto a train to be burned to death.

So we really have a rotten, rotten man in the White House who I am convinced hates America, hates individuality.

Nugent Wanted To "Sock" Michael Moore "In The Throat" For NRA President Interview

During a commercial break, Santilli continued to broadcast his conversation with Nugent. In the recording, Nugent can be heard saying of filmmaker Michael Moore, "the man has no soul" and added that if he would have been there when Moore interviewed then-NRA president Charlton Heston for his Bowling For Columbine documentary that he would have "socked [Moore] in the throat."

After Santilli Suggests U.S. Is Arming Al Qaeda, Nugent Says "The Devil Got [Obama] Voted Into The Presidency"

Reacting to Santilli's claim that the government is arming Al Qaeda in Syria, Nugent claimed that "the devil got [Obama] elected" and that the president is "pure evil":

SANTILLI: Our politicians like [Republican Sens.] John McCain and Lindsay Graham and this communist-in-chief Barack Obama facilitating, supplying the Syrian rebels who are Al Qaeda. How do we stop these guys from doing this? I understand the War on Terror, going after Al Qaeda. But what do we say to all of the men and women who have given their lives trying to kill Al Qaeda and now we are supplying them. What would you say to McCain and Graham?

NUGENT: The reason the devil got him voted into the presidency, I mean I really believe the guy is just pure evil.

Nugent Compares Former Obama Administration Official To Serial Killer Jeffrey Dahmer

Nugent, who has previously compared Attorney General Eric Holder and Vice President Joe Biden to serial killer and cannibal Jeffrey Dahmer, revived the comparison during a rant that targeted Democratic politicians, current and former Obama administration officials and New York City Mayor Michael Bloomberg:

NUGENT: I've always been on the right path. The fact that the lowest forms of sub-human mongrels hate me, and I can name a few, [Minority Leader] Nancy "You Don't Have To Read This, You Need To Sign It" Pelosi, Michael "The Second Amendment Is About Deer Hunting On Weekends" Bloomberg. I mean, I could go on and on. But you look at the [Democratic Senator] Dianne Feinsteins and the Barack Obama and the gunrunning  Eric Holder and the [former Secretary of State] Hillary Clinton who refused to provide basic security for heroes of the American representation in the most dangerous areas of the world. I can go on and on. The criminality of [former White House Chief of Staff] Rahm Emanual and [former White House special advisor] Van Jones and [former Treasury Secretary] Tim Geithner. I have a good idea, Pete, let's appoint a tax cheat as Secretary of Treasury. Hey good idea. Then we will hire Jeffrey Dahmer to take care of the children's playground.

  • NRA Board Member Ted Nugent Blames Gun Violence On "Leftist Stooges"

    Blog ››› ››› TIMOTHY JOHNSON

In a column for birther website WND, National Rifle Association board member Ted Nugent blamed gun violence on leftists and advanced a number of false arguments about gun policy, including the long-debunked claim that higher gun availability leads to lower gun crime.

Expressing support for armed teachers in schools, Nugent claimed that gun violence was the product of "anti-gun leftist policies":

The left has lied for decades about guns because they hate guns, despise the Second Amendment and blame the NRA families for crime and violence in our cities.

Truth is, it is the socialist stooges who are responsible for violence. It is their policies that prevent good guys from arming and protecting themselves and creates the big lie of "gun free" slaughter zones.

It isn't just anti-gun leftist policies that have enabled thugs to breed and prosper. The violence on America's streets is the result of a number of other leftist big-government policies that have worked to destroy families and entire communities by discouraging accountability and rewarding dangerous behavior.

That's the turbo destructo modus operandi of the socialists: Intentionally destroy something and then claim the solution to fix it is always more government, more laws, more control and less freedom.

Nugent concluded his piece by claiming that "Leftist stooges ... don't care one bit about protecting kids":

Good people want to protect our children. Leftist stooges want to create conditions for evil to flourish. They don't care one bit about protecting kids.

Never trust leftist goons. They will put you and your children at risk to advance their socialist, anti-freedom agenda.

Nugent's piece is peppered with untrue statements about gun violence. For example, Nugent blamed "socialist stooges" for creating "'gun free' slaughter zones," when most mass shootings that have occurred since January 2009 took place where guns were allowed to be carried.

  • Ted Nugent Revives False Report To Deny An Assault Weapon Was Used In Sandy Hook Massacre

    Blog ››› ››› TIMOTHY JOHNSON

National Rifle Association board member Ted Nugent relied on a false and outdated report frequently promoted by conspiracy theorists to claim that no assault weapons were used in the mass shooting in Newtown, Connecticut. In fact, Connecticut authorities have stated that all of the Newtown victims were shot with a Bushmaster AR-15 assault weapon, with some victims receiving up to 11 gunshot wounds.

In a February 13 column for birther website WND, Nugent wrote, "No so-called assault weapon was used in the grisly murders of the children and teachers in Newton," and instead suggested that four handguns were used to kill 20 children and six educators at Sandy Hook Elementary School. CNN recently promoted Nugent as having a "very firm grasp of the facts" about gun violence.

    From Nugent's column:

Newsflash for he the sheeple Redcoat Piers: No so-called assault weapon was used in the grisly murders of the children and teachers in Newton, Conn. NBC has reported the butcher used four handguns, and though we can all agree that anything reported by the networks and so much of the media should be disbelieved out of hand, even if the Bushmaster modern sporting rifle were used in the demonic slaughter of innocents, semi-automatics are not "assault weapons." Period.

On December 15, one day after the Newtown shooting, NBC incorrectly reported that only handguns had been recovered from Sandy Hook Elementary. By that evening NBC Nightly News noted that "most of the shots fired inside the school came from an assault-style rifle" and on the December 16 edition of Today Show, NBC correspondent Pete Williams reported that "The medical examiner in Newtown says the children were each shot several times, all with an assault-style rifle." All other major news outlets have likewise reported that the shooter used a Bushmaster assault weapon.

  • WND Birther Farah Back On Inaugural Prayer Breakfast Program

    Blog ››› ››› JOE STRUPP

The strange story of Joseph Farah and the conservative Presidential Inaugural Prayer Breakfast has taken a bizarre turn, with the WorldNetDaily birther conspirator returning to the breakfast's list of distinguished guests and its organizer reportedly repudiating her repeated statements to Media Matters that she never intended to give Farah a leading role.

Rev. Merrie Turner, the top organizer for the January 21 event, told Media Matters on January 9 that Farah had been incorrectly listed as a program guest and she would seek to remove him.

"He was not invited to be involved," she said at that time in a phone interview. "He had permission to write an article about it and it's gone much further than that. That was the initial intent, I never met him before and I didn't know anything about his efforts."

Asked then if she would seek to keep Farah, who as CEO of WorldNetDaily has been the driving force behind conspiracies about President Obama's birth certificate, from being among the event's official speakers, Turner said, "Absolutely, this is not going to by any means be an event for anything being said negative about the president, that will not be allowed."

Turner also told Media Matters, "The fact that [Farah] actually ended up on some of the literature so far was not run by me, it was, it came through [keynote speaker] Mr. [Jonathan] Cahn, who is his friend. He is not on the speakers bureau... it was an error." Turner also claimed that she had never met Farah.

Hours after Turner spoke with Media Matters and before our report was published, Farah's name was removed from the list of "Special Guest & Speakers" on the Inaugural Prayer Breakfast website.

Since the Media Matters story ran, Turner has made no effort to contact Media Matters with any complaint about the report or any requests for corrections or clarifications about her comments.

On January 16, however, WorldNetDaily posted an article that questioned the story, claiming Turner was disavowing the comments she made to Media Matters.

  • Sorry Drudge, The Obama Campaign Is Not Accepting Donations From Osama Bin Laden

    Blog ››› ››› KEVIN ZIEBER

Right-wing media are ignoring anti-fraud protections the Obama campaign has in place to allege that the Obama campaign accepted donations from someone impersonating Osama bin Laden.

Matt Drudge is hyping an article by World Net Daily's Aaron Klein who claimed that "Using a Pakistani Internet Protocol and proxy server, a disposable credit card and a fake address, 'Osama bin Laden' has successfully donated twice to Barack Obama's presidential re-election campaign.' "

Drudge linked to Klein's story under the headline "REPORT: Obama camapign [sic] takes money from 'Osama bin Laden' ":

In fact, the campaign has explained that it has anti-fraud protections in place to stop fake or illegal donations and that just because a fraudulent donation "may initially appear to a donor to have been accepted," such a donation will soon be rejected.

In response to another attempt to show that the Obama campaign is accepting illegal donations, the campaign explained its address verification process to Election Law Blog:

"If a billing address is verified via AVS, then the credit card contribution is processed without delay.  Some transactions caught by AVS may initially appear to a donor to have been accepted even though this is not the case.  Obama for America employs a manual process to review any transaction flagged by AVS, also taking into account other fraud risk factors, and using fraud detection services provided by our credit card processor.

"As an example, the contribution discussed here  http://www.powerlineblog.com/archives/2012/04/dubious-donations-illustrated-illegal-contributor-edition.php may have initially appeared to have gone through when the donor completed the transaction at 10:18 a.m. but it was rejected at 4:51 p.m. under our standard fraud detection procedures.

"So any claims that Obama for America has disabled  AVS are inaccurate; any question about this would have been answered-if the question had been asked."
