Megyn Kelly says that Brian Kilmeade and Marc Thiessen are protecting Trump and trying to give JD Vance “all the blame for this terrible deal”
Guest Rich Lowry: “It's all Trump. He wouldn't have launched the war if he didn't want to do it, and he was overoptimistic about it. He wouldn't do this peace deal if he weren't desperate to do it, and he's overoptimistic about it.”

MEGYN KELLY (HOST): But before we leave the politics of this, Rich, I love Brian Kilmeade. I think he's a great guy. He's actually a dear friend. But I did think it was interesting, he's more a hawkish guy, and here's how he was speaking about the deal on Fox & Friends this morning. Take a listen.
...
KELLY: Sorry, that wasn't actually the sound bite that I was referring to. But there was one earlier on the curvy couch where Brian said it was the Vance Peace Deal and said, I really hope — he said, this is not President Trump's peace deal. It's it's JD Vance's. And I really hope that JD Vance hasn't disappointed the president here because there's only so much President Trump can do. And he really entrusted Vance with this and he better have served him well.
And I do think that's -- we're starting to see like Marc Thiessen too, my old pal from The Kelly File, he called it the Vance Peace Deal yesterday or deal, Vance Deal, they're not calling it peace. And there does seem to be an attempt here, Rich, to carve out some space for JD Vance to get all the blame for this terrible deal. And even Vance to me yesterday was like, oh, gee, isn't that interesting how they're -- that's, that's what they're calling it, and I wonder why. And I think we all we all know why, right? It's an attempt to, like, protect the president from the political fallout here.
RICH LOWRY (GUEST): Yeah, so I'm friends with both Brian and Marc. So I want to address what they said. I'll say what I think about this. I don't get it at all. It's not the Vance Peace Deal. It's only happening because Trump is so desperate for peace deal. But we've seen this, I think, from both sides within the right and both factions. He launches the war, people say, oh, he's manipulated by Bibi Netanyahu into it. He's ending the war and they're saying, oh, he's being manipulated by JD Vance into it.
No. It's all Trump. He wouldn't have launched the war if he didn't want to do it, and he was overoptimistic about it. He wouldn't do this peace deal if he weren't desperate to do it, and he's overoptimistic about it.
