MEGYN KELLY (HOST): The Democratic Party's race to the left continues in earnest with a new win from a member of the Democratic Socialists of America, this time in Florida. In Florida, of all places. What's next? Mississippi?

Earlier this month, we told you about how DSA candidate Francesca Wong [Hong] lost her Democratic primary in the Wisconsin governor's race. Was it a sign that the Democrats were coming to their senses and rejecting the crazy DSA's radical proposals? Apparently not, because last night DSA member Angie Nixon defeated retired Army lieutenant colonel and prominent resistance champ Alex Vindman in the Democratic primary for Senate in Florida. This guy is a left-wing hero, so how'd she take him down?

She's DSA, that's how. Nixon advocates for abolishing ICE, free childcare — I love the word free. What it means is actual contributing members of society will pay for the free childcare of people who do nothing. And a nationwide rent freeze. K. That's going to be super easy for the landlords to handle, as costs go up and taxes and so on, they'll just have to eat it. They'll just have to eat it, and their tenants will never have rent go up.

This is, like, so crazy. It's not the way life works. In any event, Ashley Moody is going to be the opponent of Angie Dixon, and Ashley Moody is the current incumbent. She got the job, thanks to — she's a Republican — she got the job because Marco Rubio was elevated, and Gov. Ron DeSantis appointed her to replace Rubio when he became the secretary of state.

But now they're running to see who's going to fill out the last couple of years of Rubio's term. And, look, the Republicans should win because it's Florida, and it's been since 2012, since we've had, I think, a Democrat elected to the U.S. Senate or to a higher office in Florida. But who the hell knows, given the DSA is on some sort of a tear?
