GRIFF JENKINS (FOX CORRESPONDENT): Let me ask you governor. If, hypothetically speaking, you were president of the united States, what would you do to reign in the nea? What needs to be done?
GLENN YOUNGKIN (VIRGINIA GOVERNOR): The first thing that needs to be done is a national parents' bill of rights needs to be clearly established so that parents understand what their rights are.

This is what education is all about. It is not about the teachers unions' dictating what teachers and kids should be reading in the summertime.
JENKINS: Steve and Kayleigh, you'll notice the Governor didn't correct me when I hypothetically gave him the White House. Is a run still open? A lot of people thinking maybe you could -
YOUNGKIN: Well, it's very humbling to even have this discussion. As I said, I started out flipping eggs and flipping pancakes and scrambling eggs in a diner. I am so focused on Virginia this year.
...
KAYLEIGH MCENANY (CO-HOST): Governor Youngkin, so if you take the senate in November, there will be a clamoring for you to enter the race. Sounds like you're not closing the door, Governor.
YOUNGKIN: Well, as I've said, the most important thing I'm going to do this year is first be a great governor, as best I possibly can be, and I think we're doing a really good job in Virginia. But on top of that, we are going to hold our house, flip our senate and continue the great work that we've been doing.
STEVE DOOCY (CO-HOST): You know, Governor, that sounds a lot like what Ron DeSantis said before he started to run. We're going to get through the legislative session down in Florida and then I'll worry about running for president, and of course yesterday he was in New Hampshire because he's running for president. I'm sure you saw a couple of weeks ago in Axios, they had a story that said that some powerful Republican donors who do not support Donald Trump are beginning to be concerned about Ron DeSantis because he's not gotten the traction they thought he would and are encouraging you to jump into the race. So we're not asking you if you're going to run for president. But are donors saying, hey, Governor, why don't you get into it?
YOUNGKIN: Well, I so appreciate the fact that people are watching what's happening in Virginia. It's huge encouragement.

We are doing all of the things that we need to do in order to reestablish Virginia as the best place to live, work, and raise a family. And I love the fact that folks all over the country appreciate it and are encouraging us.
DOOCY: So are donors asking you to run for president?
YOUNGKIN: Well, just by this conversation, which is one that, again, I'm humbled by and appreciate -
DOOCY: I think that's a yes.
