Steve Bannon dares senators to block FISA reauthorization over Trump appointing Bill Pulte as DNI: “We dare you”

STEVE BANNON (HOST): They've seen what Bill Pulte can do in this current position, and they fully understand that Bill Pulte — No. 1, here's his qualification: He's a patriot. Qualification No. 2: President Trump, the commander-in-chief, trusts his judgment, and he doesn't trust the judgment of the guys that are coming to the microphone. I tell you, I don't think he trusts Thune's judgment. Thune is a clown, and you got Cotton there. And what is Cotton doing? He wants to take all the power away from the Tulsi Gabbards of the world and DNI. He wants to shift it back to the CIA. Why? They are captive to the CIA.
The CIA, the same group that when we had the laptop from hell and all the evidence that could've put the spike into Biden and what they were doing in the 2020 election, collectively came together, right, and did and said, oh, this is a Russian — this is a Russian op. That is a bald-faced lie. John Solomon's already see told you about that, the reports, and they don't want that released. They don't want all these documents. You know why they don't want them released? Brennan and all these guys deserve to be in prison. Deserve to be in prison for decades. They are absolutely petrified, and they're trying to stand President Trump down. This is a fight that we must win, Jack Posobiec.
JACK POSOBIEC (GUEST): Steve, a hundred percent. And not only that, but the — he'll have broad declassification authority to be able to see exactly what was done. And, boy, would I love to hear — boy, would I love to hear if there were any times where they had been tracking and knowing of antifa attacks or antifa activity, and they decided to look the other way. Or — just saying, what if they find evidence of the infiltration operations like the SPLC and others that we already know about because Todd Blanche brought it out in the SPLC indictment. If they knew about those and had signed off on them or had fully authorized the SPLC to put these guys into Charlottesville and potentially J6 and other things.
There is a entire hornet's nest over there and, Steve, the hornets are buzzing. They're buzzing because Bill Pulte is President Trump's flyswatter, and he's taken it — might even be a high pressure hose that he's going to take to that hornet's nest and actually start to clean it out, so they could get back to doing the work of the American people, not botching the intelligence on Ukraine and Russia, not botching the intelligence on Iran or the Chinese Communist Party, or dare I say, the Mexican cartels, which I haven't — I hardly hear anybody talking about. Hegseth is up there at least whacking them once in a while, but we never actually get back to doing the business of the American people.
BANNON: OK. Tell me, I jumped in on your second point about Mark Warner, Tom Cotton, John Thune. Talk to me about Mark Warner. They're — they are actively working together to hold FISA hostage. They're so worried about American citizens, and they're so worried about security. What they're worried about is their own hide. They understand Bill Pulte is going to expose all of them, and that's why they will put the security of the United States in jeopardy, and that's why they will make sure that they hold the freedom of the American people about FISA. Talk to me about Warner.
POSOBIEC: Hey, Steve, I — I'll tell you what's going on. So Warner's trying to say, so the FISA program — the authorization of FISA program is coming up. I think it's got eight, nine days left and before it sunsets, and they do this frequently. So they say, oh, we're going to come back to the program. We're going to reauthorize. And if we don't authorize, then it's going to come back up. Look. There — let me tell you something right now. No. 1, every single penny of the weaponization settlement, the weaponization fund, from the IRS is owed to President Trump and his family and his supporters because there's been no one in the history of the United States who's been more targeted unfairly and persecuted and prosecuted than him. That's No. 1.
No. 2, FISA was used to do that. No one has had FISA abuse — knows FISA abuse better than President Trump and his allies. So you know something, Steve? If they're going to play this game and say, oh, well, you know, we're going to drop the FISA program if you don't drop Pulte. I say you know what, President Trump? Call the bluff. Say you know something —
BANNON: Amen.
POSOBIEC: Drop it.
BANNON: Amen.
POSOBIEC: See you later.

BANNON: Drop it. We dare you. Drop it.
POSOBIEC: We don't — we don't want it anyway.
BANNON: Yeah. Drop it. Call their bluff.
POSOBIEC: No. He has to expend political capital in the first place to go in for it. He had the the whole long tweet. Lose it. Bye.
BANNON: It's time now for smash mouth with these guys. Lose that's their — call their bluff. I agree with you, Jack. Call their bluff.
POSOBIEC: Call the bluff. Get get rid of it. They're sitting there thinking thinking they don't have the cards. President Trump has all the cards. President Trump has all the leverage because he's the one who would have to sign off on FISA reauthorization.
He's the one who has to sign off on any appointment. It's for either an acting DNI, which I believe gets about 270 days. Todd Blanche is over there acting currently as attorney general. Because remember, these are already Senate-confirmed individuals. The Senate's already signed off on them once, and as such, you can move them around. This happened with Grenell in the first administration for, by the way, when he became acting DNI that he was able to ride, I believe, ride out pretty much the entire end of the first administration by doing so. So you know something? Call the bluff. They have no leverage. What's the leverage?
They couldn't get the Save America Act done. They couldn't get anything done in the Senate. They can't get the housing act up, which by the way, Pulte was also instrumental in. So you know something? If you're not going to give the president and if you're also not going to give him recess appointments, why should he play ball with you? Why should he play ball with you for anything?
