JOHN SOLOMON (HOST): What Thomas Kuhns talks about is a cancer that's been growing for maybe a decade, and it really hasn't been cured yet. We've slowed it, stopped it, blocked it a little bit with John Ratcliffe and and a little bit of Tulsi Gabbard, but we haven't gotten the full monty solution that we need. But today, President Trump made a bold statement. He took somebody from outside the intelligence community to be the next acting director of national intelligence. Bill Pulte, who's been on the show several times.

He's housing expert. He runs the Federal Housing and Finance Administration, which oversees Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae, the two mortgage giants. He has won a lot of accolades inside the Trump administration for his work, getting stuff done, improving the books, being bold, not being afraid to refer Letitia James or or others for possible prosecution for mortgage -- alleged mortgage fraud or or mortgage insurance fraud. Now he's going to have the flight stick of the intelligence community. It's a big, bold statement. And when you hear Thomas Kuhns today talk about how the intelligence community's demise was being waved on by the leadership, why it was being politicized, you start to think maybe it's time for an outsider in the intelligence community.

Well, today, President Trump delivered that with the announcement about Bill Pulte, someone I know pretty well and could be working with in some capacity in the future.
