Enrique Tarrio: “Every J6er needs to be able to get some type of funds” from Trump's weaponization money

Tarrio: “The same government that fucked you over is the same government that's choosing, you know, to compensate you for it, which I'm thankful for. ... As long as the disbursements happen and they're, you know, considerable, I'm OK with it.”

ENRIQUE TARRIO (CO-HOST): Reno says, “Does Ray Epps and Bertino get money?” And — Listen. This is kind of the issue with advocating, and I don't — you know? When you — when we were locked up and our J6 advocates, our amazing advocates, were out there lobbying for our pardons, they knew, most of them, knew that they had to take the position of pardoning all, not one. Right? Or not, “Oh, certain circumstances.” They needed to move the field goal. The 50-yard line had to be at the 100-yard line so they could — if it didn't happen, which it didn't, because we had the commutations and thank the DOJ and thank Trump that we are getting those sentences vacated.

We have to push for Bertino. We have to push for Ray Epps. We have to push for, like, all those people to get this money too. You know? You could complain about it later, but I think it's important that we take the position that every J6er needs to be able to get some type of funds.

...

I will tell you what position I'm going to take. No matter how this plays out, whether it's equal distribution, whether it's distribution more for people who did more time or like — Look, let's be honest. If they were to pay out based on sentences, I'd be the one that gets the most money. Right? So that would benefit me, but I'm going to take this position. I don't care how this gets dispersed. At the end of the day — I'm going to advocate for a certain way that it gets dispersed, but I won't care about the results. Because at the end of the day, it's nobody's fault but the Biden administration, Merrick Garland, that this even happened to these people.

The fact that we're talking about this and there's 1,575 individuals, right, is ridiculous. And it's not somebody else's fault that the same government that fucked you over is the same government that's choosing, you know, to compensate you for it, which I'm thankful for. So I'm not going to take a position against another J6er because the government decided that this is how it's going to go. And I'm not going to take position against the government on how those — As long as the disbursements happen and they're, you know, considerable, I'm OK with it because I'm not going to go against any of you, whether you took a plea deal, whether you have a misdemeanor. I'm not going to take a position against you guys, and I suggest you don't take a position against others.
