ELAINA ATHANS (REPORTER): GoTriangle is reporting a 32% increase in ridership in April from this time last year. Officials are attributing this to the rising prices of gas at the pump. An official tells me there has been a steady rise in ridership since January. GoTriangle sees this pain at the pump as an opportunity for people to consider boarding buses.
ERIC CURRY (GOTRIANGLE SPOKESPERSON): Try transit, try it and see how you may like it. Not only will they save money, but the peace of mind not having to navigate on the roads is also a plus.
