Fox contributor Karl Rove: Brett Kavanaugh was involved with every policy decision the Bush administration made

Neil Cavuto: Brett Kavanaugh is “very closely aligned with President Bush”

From the July 9 edition of Fox Business' Cavuto Coast to Coast:

NEIL CAVUTO (HOST): First off is your connection and fondness for Brett Kavanaugh, one of the names mentioned tonight, sits on the District of Columbia Circuit Court of Appeals, very, very closely aligned with President Bush, and I'm wondering how he went from not going anywhere simply because of that connection and maybe indirectly to you, to very much under consideration, and what that would say about this process.

KARL ROVE: I remember at the White House, he had a very difficult job. He was called the staff secretary, now nobody knows really what that job is and sort of underplay it. But literally every document that goes to the president on a policy issue has to pass through the hands of the staff secretary and he has to be the person who asks people tough questions about what they are trying to say in that document and helps edit it. And many a time I heard somebody say you know what, Brett Kavanaugh, his edits made my arguments stronger and better and they had no idea what his personal views were but he understood what theirs were and crystalized it.

The Supreme Court could overturn Roe v. Wade. Don’t buy these right-wing excuses that it’s not a big deal.

Fox contributor inaccurately claims it is “unlikely” abortion would be inaccessible without Roe v. Wade
