CARLEY SHIMKUS (FOX NEWS HEADLINES 24/7): Media Matters, a left-wing media watchdog, has named Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg their 2017 Misinformer of the Year. So, the award was given to Zuckerberg because of the amount of misinformation and fake news that has spread on the social media site during the election and into today even. Media Matters employee Matthew Gertz said on Twitter, “Facebook is the most powerful force in journalism. The site is the center of a fake news infrastructure. That's why Mark Zuckerberg is 2017's Misinformer of the Year.” A lot of reaction to this, one Twitter user says “also one of the reasons I deleted my Facebook account.” So, they don't have a lot of problems with the amount of people that are on Facebook, of course, but they do continue to have a problem with the spread of misinformation.
