TAYLOR RIGGS (CO-HOST): We are just 50 days to go — if you can believe that — until the midterm elections. As we mentioned, oil prices this morning are still heavily elevated. You're well above $100 a barrel, Americans continue to see high gas prices; a gallon of regular, $4.31 this morning, that is up 16% from just last week. Diesel is also very important, it is at a record high, $6.23 a gallon. All of this comes as Oman says that a meeting with Iran and gulf nations is now postponed. Saudi Arabia shut down that very crucial pipeline that allowed shipments to bypass the Strait of Hormuz and effectively go to the Red Sea.

I mean, what is the good news here? Is there a way that Americans can go to the polls and not look at gas prices?
