SANDRA SMITH (CO-ANCHOR): Meanwhile onto immigration. President Trump still threatening to shut down the southern border as his homeland security chief describes the situation as a “cat 5 hurricane crisis.” Kevin Corke is live at the White House. Kevin?

KEVIN CORKE (FOX NEWS WHITE HOUSE CORRESPONDENT): The president is rightly ranking his solemn duty, his oath to defend and protect this country, at the top of his values list. And that means job one, and from the White House's perspective, that means national security. And national security they would argue is, in fact, border security. It is paramount and that is why the president is once again making this push, this decision to perhaps shut down our southern border. He said that last night during remarks at the NRCC event here in Washington, expressing his frustrations with our existing immigrations laws, which he says have actually encouraged millions to come here illegally.
