Daily Wire host says JD Vance is “not doing as good a job as he should”

ANDREW KLAVAN (HOST): I even feel this is happening -- I don't want compare JD Vance at all to Hasan Piker or anybody on the left. He does not deserve that. People on the right are being very hard on JD Vance because he's right now, he's not doing as good a job as he should and his support of Iran and his idea that -- not his support of Iran, but his idea that they're going make a deal because they're reasonable people is just ridiculous. His attacks on Israel are ridiculous. And -- but the thing that I want to get at most about him is that he's called himself a post-liberal conservative. This is in this Patrick Deneen, largely Catholic movement saying, look, look around you. You know, the liberalism has failed, meaning the ideas that went into America -- not leftism, but meaning liberalism. The ideas that went into America, it's now failed, and we want to move on to something else.
Now, you know, I can understand some of the things he's saying -- some of the things Vance is saying, make sense. But why are we giving up on America after 250 years of massive success and tremendous upheavals -- and America has always been a place of chaos and trouble and new ideas that fail and new ideas that succeed. It's always been like this. It has always been -- you know, this idea that it was all the 1950s and the 1950s were perfect is absolutely ridiculous. So why are we giving up? You know, I always say, you know, you can lose a fight, but you can't win a surrender. Why are we surrendering? It's because we're looking for something beyond America, and capitalism does not supply it, and even freedom does not supply it because all of those things are there. They tap into desires that human beings have that need something else, and I'll talk about that at the end, what they need and how that works.
