BEN SHAPIRO (HOST): Bari Weiss has now put a person named Nick Bilton at the top of 60 Minutes. Nick Bilton is a documentarian. He's really, really talented. It's a good move by Bari.
In my opinion and, again, I'm friends with Bari. I think Bari is wonderful.
Well, Scott Pelley who's one of the anchors of 60 Minutes, one of the most arrogant people in media, truly a person who believes in his own magical powers, he apparently decided to use a formal introduction to Bilton to rail against the network. According to the New York Times, Bilton said that broadcast is an ice cube that is melting. And he says, Bari loves this institution. She loves 60 Minutes. At that, Pelley stood up and interrupted and said, she is murdering 60 Minutes. She does not love this place. She was brought in to kill it, and she's been doing exactly that. Quote, she has no qualifications for her job. You have slender qualifications for this job. The changes that she's made at the evening news have been catastrophic. Why should we expect any of this is going to be any better? And Billton said, I will show you. That's what I have to say. That is my plan over the next two weeks. I'll be meeting with everyone. I'm very excited to meet with everyone, including yourself.
They should just fire him. Honestly, you should get rid of him. Who cares about Scott Pelley?
