Trump Adviser On Wash. Post Reporter Who Was Frisked And Barred From Mike Pence Event: “That Shouldn’t Happen”

From the July 31 edition of CNN's Reliable Sources:

BRIAN STELTER (HOST): One last question for you, there's been a lot of concerns about the so-called blacklist. The Politico, The Washington Post, and other outlets that are not allowed press credentials at Trump rallies. This week Mike Pence suggested perhaps that's going to change. Can you tell us if you're considering loosening these restrictions on The Washington Post and other news outlets?

JASON MILLER: We are reviewing all of that and I think that, again, our events are open, anybody can come into our events and so that's the spirit that we have had with the campaign and that's the spirit we're going to have going forward.

STELTER: This week a Washington Post reporter was actually frisked and not allowed into a Mike Pence rally. That seemed like an even worse step against what we're talking about here which would be loosening the blacklist.

MILLER: That's not normal for our procedure, and that's something that shouldn't happen and we're reviewing that as we speak.

STELTER: So you are reviewing this issue more broadly, you are considering giving press credentials back to outlets like The Daily Beast, and Huffington Post, and Politico, and others?

MILLER: Again, our spirit is we want as many people who are in our events and are participating in our events as possible. The incident with The Washington Post reporter, again, that's not something that should have happened and we're reviewing that now.
