TIME’s Walter Isaacson Calls Out Media For Trying To “Gin Something Up” Between The Democratic Candidates

From the April 8 edition of MSNBC's Morning Joe

Video file

WALTER ISAACSON: I'm sort of on Donny's side on this one. I grew up in Louisiana, and if, you know, one of the candidates called the other unqualified you would think, oh wow, he's backing off a bit. I think, yea I think it's very civil on the Democratic side and there's a clear contrast between the two and it's -- you know, I think we're trying to gin something up on the Democratic side to make it look like the incredible tweeting and fighting that’s going on on the Republican side and it's not really that comparable

JOE SCARBOROUGH: Yea and Hillary's been fairly restrained through this whole process.
