On Larry King Live, Randi Rhodes accused nationally syndicated radio host Neal Boortz of making slanderous statements against Muslims, and she urged King, his producers, and viewers to "go to mediamatters.org and look up what Neal Boortz said." The next day on his radio show, Boortz continued smearing Muslims.
On his radio show, before reading comments from a Media Matters for America item that documented his August 3 remarks describing adult minimum-wage earners as "incompetent," "ignorant," "stupid," "worthless," and "pathetic," Neal Boortz again smeared them, calling adult minimum-wage earners "100 percent pure unadulterated loser[s]."
Neal Boortz asked his audience, "[H]ow incompetent, how ignorant, how worthless is an adult that can't earn more than the minimum wage?" Boortz also falsely claimed that "most of the people that earn [the] minimum wage are teenagers."
Neal Boortz claimed that "at its core," Islam is a "violent, violent religion," called "this Muhammad guy just a phony rag-picker," and asserted that "[i]t is perfectly legitimate, perhaps even praiseworthy, to recognize Islam as a religion of vicious, violent, bloodthirsty cretins." Boortz also labeled Cindy Sheehan a "lunatic", a "moonbat", and a "crazy broad," adding, "I had to give Media Matters something to do."
