Olbermann awarded O'Reilly “Worst Person” for claiming “it is never the case” that a woman's life “is in danger” due to pregnancy

On the October 16 edition of MSNBC's Countdown, host Keith Olbermann named Fox News host Bill O'Reilly the “Worst Person in the World” for falsely claiming, as Media Matters for America documented, that it “is never the case” that a “mother's life is in danger” due to pregnancy. Olbermann stated of O'Reilly's assertion: “For crying out loud, the moron already thinks he's a newscaster; now he thinks he is a freaking doctor, too.”

O'Reilly has frequently been honored in Olbermann's nightly “Worst Person” segment, most recently on the October 12 edition of Countdown, alongside Media Research Center president L. Brent Bozell III, Fox News host Sean Hannity, nationally syndicated radio host Laura Ingraham, and Robert Zelnick, Boston University professor and former ABC News reporter, after each misrepresented Ted Turner's remark that he has “problems” with President Bush declaring that “either you're with us or you're against us,” as Media Matters also noted.

From the October 16 edition of MSNBC's Countdown with Keith Olbermann:

OLBERMANN: But our winner: Bill-O -- decrying abortions, in particular, abortions in the event the mother's life is in danger because that is, quote, “never the case, because you can always have a C-section and do those kinds of things.” Yeah, except for ectopic pregnancies, and eclampsia, and H.E.L.L.P. Syndrome. For crying out loud, the moron already thinks he's a newscaster; now he thinks he's a freaking doctor, too. Bill Orally: today's Worst Person in the World.
