On his June 21 radio show, host Michael Savage quoted from a San Francisco Examiner article about efforts by lesbian health organizations to identify health and other issues affecting their community. After denouncing the Examiner as "psychos," Savage said that lesbians are "jealous that they don't have an AIDS epidemic that they can cash in on. ... '[W]e're fat and we smoke. And we clobber each other, so therefore we need money.'"
From the June 21 broadcast of the nationally syndicated Savage Nation:
SAVAGE: Here's another one, "Lesbians Assess Health Care," page 8. "Community suffers from high rates of smoking and obesity" ... says the article in the San Francisco Examiner. The community suffers from high rates of smoking and -- suffers? How could you suffer from smoking? You smoke because you choose to smoke; you're not suffering from smoking, you putz. You don't suffer from obesity unless you're a fat slob who can't stop -- you know, eating, idiot!
Now listen to how they write it, these psychos. "Accustomed to neglect from much of the medical establishment, the lesbian community is assigning itself the task of assessing -- often bluntly -- its members' distinctive array of health problems"? What it is, lemme explain it to you -- they're jealous that they don't have an AIDS epidemic that they can cash in on -- so they came up with like, "Oh yeah, we have illnesses too, and we want money." What are the illnesses? "Well, we're fat and we smoke. And we clobber each other, so therefore we need money. Lotsa federal money for the lesbian community."
