N.Y. Times' Nagourney To Leave D.C. Beat for L.A. Bureau Chief

Adam Nagourney, one of The New York Times' best political scribes, is reportedly leaving that post to become the paper's Los Angeles bureau chief, according to Politico's Michael Calderone.

“Current LA bureau chief Jennifer Steinhauer is joining the Washington bureau in late summer, where she'll be covering Congress. So that frees up the top job in Los Angeles," Calderone writes today. “While Nagourney won't discuss a move west, he has hinted in the past that he's ready to leave the beat.”
