Billy Bush Will Reportedly “Never” Return To Today After Disgusting Trump Tape Behavior

Today show co-host Billy Bush will reportedly “never be on the show again” after tape was leaked of him bantering with Donald Trump about the Republican presidential nominee’s stated predilection for sexual assault.

CNN host Brian Stelter reported that an “on-air source” said that Bush -- who is currently suspended -- “will never be on the show again,” and that view reflects “what staffers are saying behind the scenes.”

It is unclear if he will ever return to the broadcast.

“He will never be on the show again,” an on-air source said Sunday night, reflecting what staffers are saying behind the scenes.

A second source at the network confirmed Monday that his return is unlikely.

“Today” co-host Savannah Guthrie briefly told viewers about Bush's suspension on Monday morning.

In the 2005 tape, as Stelter noted, Bush “played along and joked with Trump, even while Trump talked about trying to sleep with one of Bush's colleagues” at Access Hollywood.

After The Washington Post released the tape, NBC attempted to shield Bush from scrutiny and reportedly initially declined to discipline him.

Baltimore Sun reporter David Zurawik argued that “if NBC wants to have any credibility or trust with viewers, especially the millions of women who watch ‘Today,’ it needs to act fast and suspend Bush immediately - and then get the lawyers to figure out the best way to fire him for good.” He added that NBC needs to “make it clear to women viewers that it knows how sick and depraved the words and actions of Bush are.”
